The Pepperl+Fuchs Z757 Zener Barrier is an intrinsically safe (IS) interface device designed for use in hazardous areas (Zone 1/21, Zone 2/22) to protect sensitive control systems from excessive energy that could cause ignition in explosive atmospheres.
Key Features:
✔ Zener Barrier Principle – Limits voltage and current to safe levels for hazardous areas.
✔ 1-Channel (Single-Channel) Isolation – Protects one signal line (e.g., 4–20 mA, digital signals).
✔ Approvals:
ATEX / IECEx (Ex ia IIC / Ex ib IIC)
FM / CSA (Class I, II, III, Div. 1)
✔ Input/Output Isolation – Prevents fault energy from reaching hazardous areas.
✔ Wide Voltage Range – Typically 8–30V DC supply voltage.
✔ LED Status Indicator – Visual fault monitoring.
