Working principle: Through the engraved lines on the optical code disk, each engraved line is arranged in 2 lines, 4 lines, 8 lines, etc. At each position of the encoder, by reading the on and dark of each engraved line, a set of unique binary codes (Gray code) from 2 to the power of 0 to 2 to the power of n-1 is obtained to determine the position, without the need to return to the origin after power failure like incremental encoders.

Technical parameters:

Electrical parameters: The working voltage is usually DC 10-30V, the current consumption is less than 50mA (24Vdc no-load), and it has reverse polarity protection and short circuit protection functions.

Mechanical parameters: Maximum speed can reach 6000 rpm, spindle load is 40N axially and 100N radially, axial movement is allowed to be ±1.5mm, radial runout is allowed to be ±0.2mm, shock resistance is 1000m/s² (6ms), vibration resistance is 200m/s² (10-2000Hz).

Resolution: Single-turn resolution may be 13 bits, and the number of multi-turn turns can reach 4096 turns.

Protection level: The protection level can reach IP65 or IP67, and it can be used in harsh environments such as dust and moisture.

Operating temperature: The operating temperature range is -40℃ to 85℃, and the storage temperature is also -40℃ to 85℃.

Interface characteristics: Bus interfaces such as PROFIBUS may be used. With address selection switch (0-99) and terminal resistor DIP switch (with junction box), interface cycle time ≥2ms, transmission rate less than 12M, single-turn resolution, signal counting direction, baud rate, preset (zero point) and other parameters can be set by programming.
