The 1719-A24 is a base chassis for distributed I/O systems with 24 slots manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This backplane module is used to hold power supplies, a communication adapter, and I/O modules, and to enable the hardware connection of these elements to the power supply and communication bus. The modern acquisition of signals in the field often demands increasing levels of flexibility, which are provided by distributed I/O systems. The EtherNet/IP communication adapter installed inside the 1719-A24 base chassis enables connections between field devices and PLCs that are installed far away from the signal-generating point. In this way, system configuration possibilities are expanded. Modular remote I/O systems, like the Bulletin 1719 system manufactured by Allen-Bradley, encompass various signal types and performance levels. The users are free to combine modules according to their application needs without changing the control architecture.
