FS System 10™
An ultra-fast microprocessor-based fire detection and process control system specifically designed for liquid and powder coating applications, the FS System 10™ quickly detects the presence of flames, responds within milliseconds by initiating the electrostatic coating process shutdown sequence, and effectively stops the fire before residue and wet paint layers can catch fire.
The FS System 10 is the only system with a two-stage response: The WARNING stage alerts to spray gun “fireballs.” If the fire continues, the FIRE ALARM stage is activated after four to five seconds.
The FS System 10 is far superior to conventional detectors due to its electro-optical infrared quantum sensors and ability to detect fires without false alarms. The FS System 10 is available in wall-mounted controller and card controller configurations. (Contact the manufacturer for more information on card controllers.)
The detector is housed in an explosion-proof enclosure. The wall-mounted controller is a self-contained system in a NEMA 12 enclosure with LCD display and LED status lights. Three 10 amp mechanical relays are integrated to shut off paint flow, electrostatics and conveyor when needed. Event history and technical fire data is reported in real time by the detector and stored as data in the controller's non-volatile memory. FirePic™ and Snapshot™ data can be downloaded to your computer via the controller's RS-232 port. The controller can operate with one or two detectors.
FS10-R Unitized
The FS10-R Unitized is an electro-optical infrared multispectral flame detector specifically designed for use in liquid and powder coating systems. Based on the FS System 10, the FS10-R Unitized flame detector meets the requirements for stand-alone devices and complies with the NFPA 33 standard. The broadband IR, near-band IR and visible spectrum sensors, combined with advanced signal processing, deliver the highest performance. High-quality fire detection systems with optional factory sensitivity settings and alarm outputs offer the best, proven solution for fire detection in the paint industry.
