Resistance thermometers of this type series are used as universal thermometers for measuring liquid and gaseous media in the range -50 ... +250 °C [-58 ... +482 °F].
They can be used for pressures up to 140 bar [2,030 psi] with a protection tube diameter of 3 mm [0.12 in] and up to 270 bar [3,916 psi] with a protection tube diameter of 6 mm [0.24 in], depending on the device version. All electrical components are protected against moisture (IP67 or IP69K) and are vibration-resistant (20 g, depending on the device version).
The resistance thermometer is available with a direct sensor output or an integrated transmitter, which can be individually parameterized using the WIKAsoft-TT PC configuration software. The measuring range, damping, error signaling according to NAMUR NE 043 and tag number are adjustable.
Installation length, process connection, sensor and circuit type can be selected for the respective application according to the ordering information. The resistance thermometer type TR33 consists of a multi-part protective tube with a fixed process connection and is screwed directly into the process.
The electrical contact is made using a round connector M12 x 1. An adapter for contacting with an angle connector in accordance with DIN EN 175301-803 is optionally available (patent, property right: 001370985).
