NI PXI series Module for Test Measurement & Automation Systems

The NI PXI series is a high-performance, open instrument bus standard launched by National Instruments (NI) of the United States. It is based on PCI bus technology, and is expanded and optimized on this basis, specifically for meeting the needs of test, measurement and automation applications.

The PXI series has the following features:

High performance: The PXI bus uses high-speed PCI bus technology, which can provide a data transfer rate of up to 132MB/s, meeting the data transfer speed requirements of most test and measurement applications.

Openness: PXI is an open standard. Any manufacturer can produce corresponding modules and devices according to the PXI standard, making the PXI system highly compatible and extensible.

Flexibility: The PXI system adopts a modular design concept. Users can choose different modules and devices according to their needs to form a test and measurement system suitable for their own applications.

Reliability: The PXI system adopts a reliable mechanical structure and electrical design, with high reliability and stability. At the same time, the PXI system also supports hot-swap function, allowing users to replace modules and devices without shutting down the system, improving the availability of the system.

Here are some common NI PXI series models:

NI PXI-1042Q/8106 is a high-performance measurement and automation platform consisting of the NI PXI-1042Q eight-slot chassis and the NI PXI-8106 embedded controller. 

The PXI-1042Q chassis has good heat dissipation and scalability, and the PXI-8106 controller uses the Intel Core Duo processor, has rich interfaces and powerful data processing capabilities.

NI PXI-4071: A 7.5-digit FlexDMM, a high-performance, multi-function 3U PXI module that provides the measurement functions of two common test instruments

NI PXI-6115: Multifunction input/output module with 4 AIs, 12-bit resolution, 10 MS/s/channel sampling rate, 2 AOs, 8 DIOs, and a dedicated analog-to-digital converter (ADC) per channel.

NI PXI-2594: 2.5 GHz 4x1 multiplexer, which can be used to switch and select different signal sources or paths to achieve signal routing and distribution.

NI PXI-5404 is a 100MHz frequency generator with 0Hz to 105MHz sine output, adjustable amplitude, multiple trigger and synchronization options, and external calibration functions.

NI PXI-7854/PXI-7854R is an R series PXI multi-function reconfigurable I/O module launched by National Instruments. It integrates analog I/O, digital I/O and user-programmable FPGA, and has independent timing triggering, flexible I/O operation and onboard signal processing capabilities.

NI PXI-6251: Multifunction I/O module, a data acquisition card, can be used for a variety of measurement applications.
