ABB HV Back-up type Fuse link high-voltage backup fuses

  • Product Item : HV Back-up type
  • Product Brand : ABB
  • INQUIRY

The common feature of ABB's high-voltage backup fuses is that they can control the full range of overload currents. They can be used as primary protection or backup protection to prevent overload and overcurrent. Whether combined with switchgear or as a separate protection, they can immediately interrupt high short-circuit currents and significantly increase the insulation life of the protected equipment. At the same time, they are all designed and tested in accordance with relevant IEC standards to ensure product performance and reliability.

Common models of ABB's high-voltage backup fuses

ABB's high-voltage backup fuses are available in many types. Here are some common models and their features:

CEF type:

Application: Mainly used for the protection of distribution transformers, suitable for indoor/outdoor and oil-immersed installation.

Voltage and current: The rated voltage range is 3.6/7.2-36kV, and the rated current is 6 - 200A.

Features: It has the advantages of low minimum breaking current, low power consumption, low arc voltage, high breaking capacity and high current limiting characteristics, which can effectively protect equipment and reduce the damage to equipment caused by short-circuit current.

CMF type:

Application: Used to protect motor circuits from the thermal and dynamic effects of short-circuit currents.

Voltage and Current: Rated voltage up to 12kV, rated current 63-315A.

Features: Specially designed for cyclic loads in motor applications, standard version includes outdoor sealing for harsh environmental conditions, and is also equipped with a temperature control unit to provide additional thermal stress protection for equipment in small spaces.

WBP type:

Application: Effective protection of circuits in the event of voltage transformer failure.

Voltage and Current: Rated voltage 7.2-40.5kV, rated current 0.5-4A.

Features: Compared with the previous generation of products, it adopts a porcelain tube design, which is more durable and easy to operate, and is compatible with ABB's TJC and TDC type voltage transformers.
