Features

Feature-rich: Provides a variety of protection functions such as phase-to-phase overcurrent protection, sensitive grounding protection, negative sequence overcurrent protection, thermal overload protection, and circuit breaker failure protection. Meanwhile, it has auxiliary functions such as automatic reclosing, synchronization check, voltage control overcurrent protection, phase break protection, frequency protection and so on. It also has the functions of fault recording, measuring and recording, which can measure and store a large amount of information, including current, voltage, power, frequency, electric energy, etc., as well as the indication of faulty phases, protection action conditions, and the action time of the protection and circuit breaker.

Strong communication capability: Provides a wide selection of communication protocols and interfaces, including IEC61850, Modbus, IEC60870 - 5 - 103, DNP3.0, etc., which can be conveniently connected with a variety of digital control systems (DCS) or SCADA systems. Supports various forms of redundant Ethernet communication interfaces, such as self-healing ring network, RSTP and double-star network, to ensure the reliability and stability of communication.

Friendly user interface: supports multiple languages, including Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, etc., which is convenient for users from different regions. Graphical programmable logic allows users to flexibly configure the protection and control logic according to actual needs, meeting simple or complex applications of various power grids.

Flexible hardware configuration: various chassis sizes are available, such as MiCOM 40TE, 60TE, 80TE, etc., to adapt to different installation space requirements. The units are equipped with an LCD display with background lighting, 12 LEDs (22 on some models, and more editable LEDs on the P145 model), multiple communication ports, monitoring ports, IRIG-B interfaces, etc., as well as monitored +48V autogenous voltages, 1A/5A dual-rated CTs, etc.

MiCOM P141: Basic feeder management relay providing basic protection and control functions for general feeder protection applications.

MiCOM P142: Based on P141, MiCOM P142 integrates automatic reclosing function, which can realize automatic reclosing after a fault and improve the reliability of power supply.

MiCOM P143: In addition to the automatic reclosing function, it also adds the function of checking the synchronization, which can check the synchronization of both sides of the power supply during reclosing to ensure the safety of reclosing.

MiCOM P144: Based on P142, residual voltage input function is added, which can be used for more complex protection schemes and fault detection.

MiCOM P145: The operation control function is enhanced on the basis of P143, providing more operation control options and more convenient operation methods, which is suitable for applications with higher requirements on operation control.
