Cummins SX460 automatic voltage regulator (AVR) is a voltage regulator for brushless excitation system generators. Here is a detailed introduction:

Functional features

Precise voltage regulation: By connecting to the main stator winding and the excitation winding for closed-loop control, the load regulation range of the output voltage can be controlled within ±1.0%, ensuring that the generator outputs a stable voltage.

Multiple protection functions: With under-frequency protection (UFRO) function, the frequency measurement circuit monitors the generator output in real time. When the speed is lower than the preset critical value, the output voltage will be reduced accordingly to protect the excitation system. It also includes a detection signal loss protection function to enhance operational reliability.

Stable voltage establishment: The power supply circuit uses high-efficiency semiconductor components, which can establish a forward voltage from the residual magnetic voltage of the generator to ensure stable voltage establishment.

Filtering and interference suppression: A low-pass filter is provided to prevent distorted waveforms from affecting the normal operation of the AVR. At the same time, there is a suppression component to prevent the sub-cycle voltage peak from damaging the AVR component and reduce the conducted noise at the generator terminal.

Highly adjustable: A remote voltage trimmer interface is provided to facilitate user fine-tuning of the generator output. Single-phase 120/240V AC detection voltage can also be selected by jumper copper strips, and can also be set to match generators of different powers.
