Woodward UG-10D is one of the UG series mechanical hydraulic governors. Here is a brief introduction:
Basic Information
Drive Speed: Applicable drive speed range is 400 - 1200rpm.
Working Voltage: Usually 24V DC.
Functional Features
Isochronous or differential speed control: Can be operated in isochronous mode (constant speed), regardless of load; or can be used to distribute and balance the load of two engines during parallel propulsion or grid-connected power generation through the built-in differential speed control function.
Load Limit Control: As a standard function, it can limit the fuel supply by limiting the stroke of the governor output shaft, thereby achieving load limitation.
Compensation System: Provides stability for the governor and obtains stable speed control. When the load changes, it can effectively adjust the fuel supply to meet the engine output requirements, so that the set speed will produce a small, temporary change with the action of the governor output shaft, that is, a stable speed drop characteristic.
Structural features
Oil supply system: with its own oil tank, the oil pump is a positive displacement gear pump with 4 check valves, which can rotate in both directions and is driven by the governor drive shaft to provide stable working oil pressure.
Slide valve system: including slide valve plunger and rotating slide valve sleeve, the speed plate senses the speed change of the prime mover and compares it with the speed set by the speed setting spring to adjust the position of the slide valve plunger, thereby controlling the working state of the governor.
Application field
It is suitable for controlling diesel, gasoline, dual-fuel engines or steam turbines, and has a wide range of applications in ships, industrial power generation, pump drives, compressor drives and other fields. It can accurately control the speed of the engine or turbine according to different working conditions to ensure the stable operation of the equipment.
