Baumer HMG10-B-EtherCAT is an absolute heavy-duty encoder based on the EtherCAT interface in the HMG10 series of Baumer. In addition to the basic features mentioned above, it also has the following features:

Electrical characteristics: The operating voltage is 10 - 30V DC and the transmission rate is 100M Baud.

Resolution: 13 bits for single turn and 16 bits for multi-turn.

Output signal: In addition to outputting absolute position information through the EtherCAT interface, it can also output square wave TTL/HTL, TTL/RS422 incremental signals for speed measurement or as auxiliary position signals.

Function display: The function display is carried out through LED, which makes it easy for users to understand the working status of the encoder.

Protection and certification: The corrosion protection level reaches ISO 12944-2 CX (C5-M) at room temperature, and the protection level is IP66/IP67. UL certified / E217823.

Mechanical characteristics:

Shaft type: Blind hollow shaft is ø16 - 20mm, tapered shaft (1:10) is ø17mm.

Flange size: Size (flange) ø105mm, torque arm bracket can be positioned arbitrarily 360°.

Others: Aluminum alloy housing, stainless steel shaft, typical operating torque is 10Ncm, rotor moment of inertia is 950gcm².

Environmental adaptability:

Temperature range: Operating temperature is -40℃ to +85℃.

Vibration and shock resistance: Complies with IEC 60068-2-6 standard, can withstand 30g, 10-2000Hz vibration; complies with IEC 60068-2-27 standard, can withstand 400g, 1ms shock.

Other features: It has drag chain application capability, is suitable for equipment such as robots, can move flexibly within the range of ±180°/m, and the cable has good chemical resistance, flame retardancy and oil resistance.
