Baumer HMG10-T-Profinet is an absolute heavy-duty encoder in the HMG10 series from Baumer. It is based on the Profinet communication protocol and is suitable for industrial applications with high requirements for reliability, accuracy and environmental adaptability. The following is a detailed introduction:
Technical features
High-precision magnetic induction: Using the latest magnetic induction system, the accuracy is comparable to that of the photoelectric induction system, which can provide high-precision signals to ensure high-quality control performance and stable operation even under harsh environmental conditions.
Energy harvesting multi-turn induction: Using the patented "MicroGen" energy harvesting technology, multi-turn induction does not require batteries and gears, and directly obtains energy from the movement of the encoder shaft. It has been successfully used in demanding heavy-duty applications for more than 10 years.
Rugged bearing system: Equipped with a double-sided hybrid bearing system, large-size ball bearings, optimized bearing clearance can absorb shaft load changes, and the balls are made of high-strength ceramics. They can withstand high axial and radial loads, have excellent emergency operation characteristics, and can protect the encoder electronics from shaft currents.
Excellent corrosion protection: According to EN ISO 12944 standard, it provides corrosion protection for C4 or C5-M corrosion environments, with corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy or stainless steel housing, passivated surface and impact-resistant powder coating.
Wide temperature range and high protection level: The operating temperature range is -40℃ to +100℃. The advanced labyrinth seal and shaft seal combination can ensure IP66 and IP67 protection levels within this temperature range, effectively protecting against various solid objects, moisture and sticky dirt.
High-speed data transmission: Supports Profinet protocol with a transmission rate of 100Mbaud, enabling high-speed, real-time data transmission, and can easily connect and communicate with other devices in the Profinet network. It is suitable for automation control systems with high communication speed and accuracy requirements.
Multiple signal outputs: In addition to outputting absolute position information through the Profinet interface, it can also output square wave TTL/HTL, TTL/RS422 incremental signals for speed measurement or as auxiliary position signals. Some models also have a speed switch that can provide limit speed information through the switch output.
