The Rosemount FCL Free Chlorine Measuring System measures free chlorine in fresh water. The free chlorine system includes a transmitter (Rosemount 56 Transmitter or Rosemount 1056 Transmitter), a Rosemount 499ACL Free Chlorine Sensor, a pH sensor (if required) and a constant head flow controller. The transmitter and flow controller are mounted on a back plate, and quick disconnect Variopol (VP) sensor cables are pre-wired to the transmitter, making installation and startup fast and easy.
Measurement Range0 to 10 ppm as Cl2. For higher ranges, consult the factory.
AccuracyAccuracy depends on the accuracy of the chemical test used to calibrate the free chlorine sensor
Temperature Range32 to 122°F (0 to 50°)
Pressure Range3 to 65 psig (122 to 549 kPa abs)
Materials of ConstructionWetted Materials:
Overflow Sampler & Flow Cell: Acrylic, polycarbonate, polyester, Kynar(R), nylon, silicone
Rosemount 499ACL Free Chlorine Sensor: Noryl™, Viton™, platinum, polyethersulfone, polyester, wood, silicone
Rosemount 3900VP pH Sensor: Stainless steel, glass, Teflon, polyphenylene sulfide, EPDM, silicone
Specific introduction is as follows:
FCL-02-221: It is a complete system for measuring residual chlorine in fresh water. It includes a transmitter (optional 56 or 1056), a 499ACL-01 residual chlorine sensor, a pH sensor (if required), and a constant head flow controller. The measurement range is 0-10ppm in the form of Cl₂. The system is quick and easy to install and start up, and is suitable for freshwater residual chlorine measurement in a variety of scenarios.
FCLi: This model measures chlorine gas from 0 to 20ppm. The sensor response is basically independent of pH between pH 6.5 and 10, and has the characteristics of no reagents and simple maintenance. There are two different configurations, model FCLi-01 weighs 10 lbs/13 lbs (4.5 kg/6.0 kg); model FCLi-02 weighs 11 lbs/14 lbs (5.0 kg/6.5 kg).
Model FCL Free Chlorine Measuring System. The FCL is a complete system for the determination of free chlorine in water. It consists of the sensor(s), analyzer, and constant head overflow cup to control sample flow. All components are mounted on a backplate. Model option -02 includes a pH sensor for continuous, automatic pH correction. Three replacement membranes and a 4-oz. (120 ml) bottle of electrolyte solution are shipped with the chlorine sensor.
